I used to think that people from British Columbia had a trace of smugness about them. A tiny hint of superiority in the way they described their mountain peaks and pretty beaches.
I've since learned two things.
First, let's face it, many Canadians are a little bit smug. Nothing wrong with some local pride.
Second, okay BC, you are pretty amazing. Hands down gloat-worthy. I've had the great fortune to go hiking in the Rockies these past few weekends. The next day soreness is worth it.
