Khao San Road

I spent two years as a staff writer for khaosanroad.com. Then I left Thailand and all my Southeast Asia savvy became outdated. This was my first paid writing job, in which I got drunk on creative control and a Bangkok-based Englishman sent me a monthly amount of baht, in cash, in the mail.
